The exhibition ’Ijjász 150 – fragments of a lifework’ displays the works of Gyula Ijjász who was a Greek Catholic painter from Uzghorod. He was the student of Simo Hollósy, int he beginning Mihály Munkácsi influenced him, at the end of his artistic carrier he got to the modern style of the 20th century. His lifework almost totally disappeared. This gap filling exhibition shows his artworks available in Hungary.
The exhibition awaits the visitors until 31st January, 2025.
This exhibition is the first step towards the professional cooperation agreement with the Tyvodar Lehoczky Transcarpathian Regional Local History Museum .
