Lecture on Prosphoro Stamps

Dr József Sipos, a GP and art collector, held a highly popular lecture on prosphoro stamps on the occasion of the Researchers’ night on 27th September 2024. He summarized the cultural history of bread stamping, then he spoke about the origin, usage of the 150 prosphoro stamps deriving from the area of Maramaros, from the valley of river Iza and Mára. His lecture also revealed adventurous collector’s experience.
