THE LEADER OF OUR MUSEUM IS THE NEW PRESIDENT OF EME
On 29 April 2024, the Association of Ecclesiastical Museologists (EME) held its Annual General Meeting in Budapest.
Founded in 2006, the Association of Ecclesiastical Museologists is a professional organisation in an ecumenical spirit, in which all Hungarian denominations are represented.
The association is a professional organisation with members from Catholic, Protestant and Jewish museums and collections, but also with members who are museologists, conservators and other museum staff working with religious collection objects in secular museums.
In 2024, the 67-member General Assembly elected Dr Irén Szabó, Director of the Greek Catholic Museum, as the new President of the Association for a four-year term. Dr. Szilveszter Terdik, art historian, was elected as a member of the seven-member association board. Tiborne Ősz, also from the Greek Catholic Museum, was entrusted with the duties of secretary.
